Why choose us
Timing Belts FAQs
When should the cambelt be changed?+
Typically every 4–6 years or 60,000–100,000 miles depending on make. Send your registration and we will confirm your exact interval.
Do chains need replacing?+
Chains are designed to last but stretch on some engines — notably certain BMW, Ford EcoBoost and VAG units. Rattle on cold start is the warning sign.
Why replace the water pump too?+
It is driven by the same belt and the labour is already done. Replacing it later means paying for the same job twice.
Can this be done mobile?+
Some engines yes, many are better done at our workshop. We will advise when you get your quote.
